In the Fairbanks area your home can be “at risk” especially so if on schist/bedrock and in the hills. The good news is testing is relatively inexpensive and mitigation can be effective.
ABC Inc. is licensed to design and install radon mitigation systems to combat radon in your home. You can pick up a testing kit from the Cooperative Extension Service for $25.00 for long-term kits and $30 for short-term kits.
